We stopped here for dinner last night After reading the reviews we weren't sure what to expect but it was close and we were hungry First off after reading the reviews we both had to try their famous tomato soup It was delicious !! Chunks of tomato in creamy tomato.... Devine I got Rainbow trout French fries and coleslaw .. ( now I have never had trout... I have had almost all other types of fish.. Catfish, bass, bluegill, cod, walleye etc ) But this trout was way way too fishy tasting for me... My husband tried it said that's the way it taste ... So guess it's just that kind of fish... On the other hand the French. Fries were cooked perfect Coleslaw was ok but a little on the bland side.. Hubby got a club sandwich and fries He's cloud was great. They even used real turkey ( not sliced lunch meat ) Did have to ask for extra mayo I also got a slice of blueberry cheese cake to go It was amazing ! Fresh blueberries in a blueberry sauce cheesecake was light an airy. A great treat ! Service was good. Nothing exceptional but good. Food arrived fast and hot. And they were busy Not pricy And the place was clean Right at the truck stop so plenty of truck and trailer parking All in all a good meal at good deal ... If in the area again and looking for something to eat we will for sure stop here again My only regret is I wish I had got done tomato soup to go with us lol

Friendly service, clean, and a good local-type diner. Have the meatloaf! Buffalo burger is also good. Guy in red cap by soda machine won't stop staring at me, though.

Ok this place is divey but the only reason anyone stop is for the tomato soup. It is the best, EVER. I always make a stop on my way to Missoula. I get the club sandwich and a cup of tomato soup. I love it with a million crackers crumbled in it. Then I get a quart to come home with me. It almost has a sweet flavor to it which is probably why it's so famous. Ps- the chicken fried steak is also a good bet ....and so is the chicken and rice soup :) ENJOY

About what I expected for a middle-of-nowhere local diner. We had a party of 10, so we were spread out. Wait staff wasn't great, but they were friendly. Two people had the traditional breakfast, and one came out with more than twice as much hash browns and eggs than the other! (It came on two plates vs one) we would've gone to McD's originally but they were closed.

Sub-par Sysco-supplied food that aspires to be Denny's and actually fails. The turkey club was made with lunch meat. Service is under-skilled, but not horrible. The only way I could recommend this place is if your only other option is the McDonald's across the street. I won't recommend other restaurants within a review because I think it diminishes credibility, but read my other reviews for a good option of the same style in Butte.

Decent food, ultimately unremarkable. Can't decide if it was better than the McDonalds across the street or not. All around average service/decor/quality. Stopped in on our way across the country.

We stopped in Deer lodge for lunch and decided to try the 4B as an alternative to the McD's accross the street. I had the 1/3-pount buffalo burger which was very tasty and came with yummy home-made fries. My wife really liked the cream of broccoli soup with her turkey sandwich. Service was speedy and friendly

McDonalds would have been a better choice. Stopped here after visiting the museum. Food was low quality, restaurant supply store standard stock. I ordered meatloaf with macaroni & cheese. Meatloaf was pre cooked and microwaved, gravy was very cheap canned goop. Mac & cheese was a generic version of Kraft with the powdered cheese. Hubby ordered the NY strip, but what they served was some mystery cut that was about half gristle. Service was quick and friendly and deserved three stars. But since the food only rated one star, I gave it the average.
